Why is BitTorrent going into sleep?

Ok I dunno what's up here but my comp isn't set to power down or ne thing, no power save options other than the screen shuts off after awhile, but my bittorrent keeps going into like a sleep mode or something, anybody know how to fix?

is it only when running bitorrent then check in the settings or use utorrent

goto Options>preferences
in the general tab, there is a checkbox saying " prevent standby if there are active torrents", make sure it is checked.

oh and well make sure you have an active torrent
