I am trying to rip a DVD using Winx DVD Ripper but it only gets/records around 5 minutes worth of video from it. I tried other DVDs and it did not have this problem.
It's not necessarily a copyright issue. Some companies issue a 'trial' or 'sample' version of their software for you do download and install, to see how you get along with it and what it is like to use, and to let you have a sample of the quality of your file when you have ripped it. If you like what you see, then you go to their webstore to purchase the full version with license key and then you get the unrestricted version of the software.
It's like a 'try before you buy' process. I have been using WinX DVD Ripper for aeons now and I love it to bits. I would recommend purchasing it in a heartbeat.
