Why does my puppy have one ear standing and one ear floppy?

I just noticed today when I got home from work that one of my puppies ears is standing up and the other one is floppy. Is it a bad sign that one is standing and one isnt? She is about four months old now and is a chow/lab mix. Will both ears eventually stand in this mix?

If they haven't always been that way, it's possible that your puppy has an ear infection...that was the reason for my dogs ear doing the same. If he/she yelps when you massage it...it's a sure sign! Best of Luck!
