in a time when atheists are just learning Poker games and rolling dices on street corners LOL

More than 2,500 years ago in China there were centers of learning from the fact that Confucius (550 - 479 BC) had many students. Moreover, the story of "Butterfly Lovers", set in 3rd century, depicted in detail about students going to school (center of learning) and about a women who disguised herself as a male to attend the school (where students lived in hostels).

because the Church was the primary source of education and learning for centuries before private and government funded institutes were set up. Therefore many of the older universities (especially in Europe and the UK) have history of being involved with the Church.
And did you know? Just because you go to Church doesn't mean you're a Christian. Just because people went to a christian institute to study a science, art or trade does NOT mean they were necessarily people who followed Christ.

That's not true. why Europe lived centuries of backwardness when the church was very powerful and in bed of kings. and science didn't advance and europe didn't become a better place only after the enlightenment and secular revolutions? the whole Christianity story built on ignorance. god punishes people for eating from the tree of KNOWLEDGE.
