Why aren't my burnt CD's playing in my car audio system?

I have a 1995 Blazer LS with the stock audio system (Cd and AM/FM Radio). I tried burning my songs to CD-R's and CD-RW's and every time i put the CD's in it just spits the CD's back out. Any SURE way to fix this WITHOUT BUYING A NEW SYSTEM?!? It has 295,000 so I'm not going to dump a bunch of money into it just so i can listen to my burned CD's so if you have any idea how i can get it to work that would be great!

40 bucks. get a dual headunit, you can take it out when you get a new car

it has to be in a CDFS audio format, not a data disc which is what you probably did.

go download cdburnerxp for free and burn an audio compilation to a CD-R NOT a CD-RW many older radios wont read cdrws
