which is the best one??? sony has 1000watts output but yamaha pioneer ect mentioned above has only 600 to 660 watts will it be powerful for a 250sqft. room?

My bet would be on the Onkyo HTS 3400; the weakest part of those units are going to be the speakers better speakers would be something like the Energy take classic set or even the Pioneer SP PK 21BS tied with an Onkyo TX SR 313 or Pioneer VSX 522 which would give you a better sounding system....
