I'm looking to buy a bike and spending no more than $350 on it. This is a lot of money to blow for me so I want something that is going to last and that I'm going to like. I want a Mountain bike hardtail and I've narrowed it down to 3 bikes that I can afford and that look like they will fit my needs. I have read tons and tons of reviews on these bikes and they all seem like respectful brands and all around good bikes.

08 Diamondback Response Sport: http://www.diamondback.com/bikes/mtn-hardtail/2008-mtn-hardtail/response-sport-08/

Haro V2: http://www.bikepedia.com/Quickbike/BikeSpecs.aspx?Year=2007&Brand=Haro&Model=V2&Type=bike

Trek 820: http://www.trekbikes.com/us/en/bikes/mountain_hardtail/820/820/

If any bike specialist or experienced biker should help me make my final choice I would really appreciate it.

What im going to be using it for is mainly around the neighborhood which is partially paved, a lot of dirt, rocks, hills bumps curbs etc which is how I came to the conclusion I needed a hardtail. I will eventually be on trails and rough terrain so I do need a mountain bike not a road or hybrid.

Also if anybody could help me out with my frame size? I think I'm going to need around a 16" or 18". I am 5'6" 140lb and wear 30 length jeans.

If your going to tell me to go to my local bike shop do not bother answering because I simply want other peoples opinions and to know a little bit of what I'm talking about before I walk into a bike shop.

Thanks a lot
Also if you could give me your first and second choice, incase the place I go doesn't carrry one of the bikes. Thanks again
