There is sun here maybe twice a week at best but it rains almost every night and dont get me started on thunder showers! I am worried about traction and friction for the environment I live in but I dont know what is better for what I am asking for, All Wheel Driver or Front Wheel Drive(2x4?). I will read all input so thank you. *<|:)

I would recommend AWD, because if the front slips, the back grips.
More importantly: I would highly recommend researching tires, no matter what kind of vehicle you buy/own - 4 tires touch the road.

They better be good or great ones if traction means everything.

Also if you are comparing two or more vehicles you like:
I would recommend the heavier one.
Weight is not good for gas consumption but is good for traction.
Secondly, lower height from street to frame is also good. A lower center of gravity means less chance of flipping.

Please keep these two ideas in your head when comparing.

All wheel drive will give good traction in any weather conditions. Four wheel drive is usually better in extreme conditions. For example, AWD such as a Subaru would be great for everyday trails through the woods, light to medium snow, or even mud. However, FWD vehicles are more often lifted higher giving better clearance for more extreme weather.
