I want to know if you think it is a good phone to get a 14-year old who likes to text and make a lot of calls. What's your opinion on the phone?

A touch of class
The VU is slim, lightweight and sophisticated with its smooth rounded corners in a piano-black lacquer finish. The VUs brilliant touch screen lets you browse full HTML sites, scroll through your photo albums or contact lists, and experience Rogers Vision on Rogers 3G HSPA network. There's also a 2.0 MP camera complete with a self-portrait mirror, auto focus and flash and a music player that supports up to 4 GB of music. The virtual touch keypad is easy to use with VibeTonz® technology (vibrating feedback when you press a key).

I hear it is hard to text on. Look at the Samsung Eternity iy is just like the Vu but it is newer and better.

the concern I would have is.. Most people who text a considerable amout do not like texting on a touch screen. they enjoy the feel of real keys. such as the blackjack 2 or the samsung epix. the epix has the touch screen and also comes with a texting keyboard. not to mention it is windows mobile 6.1 professional which gives you the feature of threaded text messaging so that you can veiw your texts just like im's.and keep more organized in conversation
