i checked the whole distributor. took it out, cleaned it, the caps fine, same with rotor. spark plugs are less then 2 months old. same with coil, fuel pump and filter. its getn gas. but it starts, then immediatly dies. 89 dodge dakota v6. i blew out the map sensor but i was told it would still start, just run rough... would wires cause this? i took each one out one by one and put in a new plug just to test the wire...i had someone try to start the truck as i held the plug grounded and they all sparkd, its a small yellow spark tho... is that good? i was using a new platnum plug. i checked all the plugs to and they are good. any ideas?
