Was christ a human being? And did he ever exist?

The bible seems to establish that he was the most significant human being who ever existed. And there is corollary evidence concerning "one cristus," in the historian josephus' writings. However, christianity regards him as half-divine That is, as INCAPABLE of sinning.(Although vulnerable to feeling tempted to various sins, as perhaps by empathy.)
It describes him (and there was at least one prophecy to that effect) as born to a virgin. And "being impregnated by the holy ghost."
The descriptions of his "trial" (there seems to have been SEVERAL) are detailed. And show him as "guilty" under jewish law, and exonerated under roman law.
God's opinion seems never to have changed, (This is my beloved son, in whom I am well-pleased.) from start to the last breath.

Christ was fully man, and fully god. He was capable of sinning, yet he refrained from it. He was born to a virgin. He was "guilty" under Jewish law. He had blasphemed , sort of. He had said he was god, which would be blasphemy if he was not god, but since he was, he was not lying or blaspheming. But since the Jewish government did not believe he was god, he was guilty in their eyes.

Human in the flesh, but not human in the Spirit. Meaning His Spirit was the same as God the Father and the Holy Spirit.

The human flesh felt everything you and I do. Weakness, pain, sorrow and so forth. He knew what we feel in our bodies. Jesus did this because He loves us and wants us to know that he has been faced with our problems of the flesh.

Isaiah 53:3-5 KJV
(3) He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
(4) Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
(5) But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Matthew 8:17 KJV
(17) That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.

Jesus Christ is God. The Word of God became a man on this earth by the miracle conception involving His Holy Spirit and through a normal birth, involving a woman, to die in our place for our sins to show us how much He loves us.

The scriptures bear abundant testimony that Jesus Christ is God. I believe the Bible 100%. It is the word of God. If we don't believe it, Jesus is of no effect to us and we are still in our sins."

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and THE WORD WAS GOD. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. Colossians 1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
1:15 WHO IS THE IMAGE OF THE INVISIBLE GOD, the firstborn* of every creature:
1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
1:19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;

*firstborn: pre-eminence in rank more than to priority in time. This can be shown in passages where the term 'firstborn' is used of the pre-eminent son who was not the eldest, e.g. Psalm 89:27, where David is called 'firstborn' although he was actually the youngest son.

"For in [Jesus] dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily."

THESE PEOPLE DID NOT UNDERSTAND THAT JESUS WAS GOD AND THOUGHT HE BLASPHEMED WHEN HE TOLD THE TRUTH.
"The Jews answered [Jesus], saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God."
-- John 10:33

He existed, even most evolutionists don't deny that, the question is if he was the son of god. i believe that if he was, he was a pure and spiritual being who came in a human body, and his temptation to sin would have been the consequences of an imperfect human body

I think that a man called Jesus was wandering around in the desert claiming to be the messiah (as were several other people) at around the time Christians say that he was. Beyond that I do not feel that there is enough evidence to make any judgments.
