Trails to hike in the Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park?

I want to do some multiple day backpacking in the Sequoia National Park in California but have no idea what trail to take. I be honest, I have no idea how to plan a successful hiking trip. Input and a applicable website besides something from the NPS would be helpful.
