clutch wont engage? the clutch pedal on my citroen c5 went hard then has now gone totally and the clutch wont engage. how big a job is it to mend.

Worst case may mean a new clutch so at an independent garage that should cost from £300 to £400 but if it has also ruined the dual mass flywheel as fitted to some of them at least then it could be quite a lot more.
The reason for the failure will determine the fix and thus the cost so until that is known then you will not know the price.
It is a mass market large saloon not a prestige anything
