The Bell Jar and The Catcher in the Rye?!?? HELP!!!?

Okay so i need to write a comparison essay on the Bell Jar and The Catcher in the Rye, but im having a hard time comparing the book. Can someone please help?! I just need a few tips so i can come up with my thesis, and any other tips would be greatly appreciated!!! THANK YOU!

All i know about is the Catcher in the Rye. Its all about the ignorant bliss of childhood and the cruel realites of adulthood. Holden himself wants to rescue children from falling off a cliff next to a rye field by catching them ergo "the Catcher in the Rye", which symbolizes him saving them from adulthood.
