A former professor at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City made a historic $1 billion donation Monday to pay for the tuition of all its students, the largest gift ever given to a US medical school. Dr. Ruth Gottesman, 93, made the life-changing donation from the estate of her late husband, David "Sandy" Gottesman, a Wall Street financier and investor.
