StarChoice DSR505 to BenQ MP522 component to vga?

I was wondering if I could hook up the DSR505 to my projector with a component to vga cable without a converter box. I don't think the DVI would work as it is DVI-D. Any ideas? You cannot convert component to VGA with a simple cable - the cables they sell that have a VGA connector on one end and the three component video cables on the other end DO NOT WORK!!!

To convert component to VGA, you need a converter:
