Hey guys I have a question. I live in Florida and went in my backyard to play with a friend and found a snake on my porch. As I have wanted one for years, but my Dad hasn't let me get one, I decided to keep it. I have it in a big basket it the backyard. My question is what kind of snake is it? It is around 4 feet long and very dark in color and fairly thick. I think it might be a bit aggressive because it has its mouth wide open every time I try to hold it. Also has a musclar triangled shape head if that helps. I am going to wait a little bit for the snake to calm down before I try and hold it again. What do you guys think?
If it helps I live on a lake and a friend of mine says it is probably just a mocassin or water snake. Does anyone know how to take care of them? I think I will keep it in my closet so my dad doesn't see it.
