Long story short - I need a new phone, and I'll probably be purchasing the LG Optimus Elite tomorrow. When I do so, I won't be activating it through the carrier right away - it's not a huge rush because I have wifi at home/work that I can use for the internet/etc, and I don't use it when driving. I'll activate it within the week or so however.
My question here is, if I bought the phone tomorrow and did not purchase a plan through the carrier - would I be able to access the internet/apps/etc via wifi? The other question I have is that the phone doesn't come with an SD card. Obviously I'll need to buy one, but is it needed to access the wifi/camera/apps or anything or is that only required when I purchase my plan?
