Should I buy an '03 Acura TL-S with a rebuilt transmission?

I was wondering if buying an black/black '03 Acura TL Type S for $12,000 is worth the money. The seller has recently gotten the transmission rebuilt and a new torque converter which has a 6 month warranty. It has 85k miles. It has new high performance brake pads on all 4 wheels. The oil has been changed every 1,500 miles (so the owner claims) and it has a navigation and sunroof. The body is in AMAZING condition and it looks like it just came out of the showroom with NO scratches or imperfections on the body whatsoever. Please let me know if this sounds like a good deal or if buying a car with a rebuilt trans is a bad idea. Thanks for any help.

It's a good deal.

But I would not take his word for it. Ask to see his maintenance records and the receipt for the new transmission. If he doesn't have them, then he didn't do em as far as I'm concerned.
