So I bought a 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe today. It came with an Infinity System. First, does anyone know what model of Infinity speakers Hyundai uses in the Infinity system? but I was actually planning to get a different Santa Fe, that didnt have the Infinity System, but the one I bought, with the infinity system, was a better deal. Second, I was planning before to upgrade the stereo system with a Pinoeer FH-X700BT Stereo Receiver ( http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/CD-Receivers/FH-X700BT ) and 4 Pioneer TS-A1674R Speakers ( http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/Speakers/A-Series/TS-A1674R ), and later on once I have the $$$ I would purchase a subwoofer and amp. The second question is: Would it be worth it to buy the Receiver and Speakers?? I probably will buy the receiver because the receiver that the Santa Fe came with, is just the Factory Hyundai one, nothing special or anything.

Thanks

Before you butcher up your car, go to a stereo shop and compare what is on display with what you already have. Maybe your stereo performs well enough already. Adding a subwoofer will definately supplement the low frequency performance, but keep it balanced. Make it sound like an actual performance, not a thunderstorm. I hear so many cars going down the street sounding like a circus parade and a lot of the noise is the car's body rattling.

Take some time to listen to your stereo. Spending money on a bunch of new stuff feels good to some people, but there's always someone willing to sell you a load of junk and they don't care how bad it leaves you sounding.
