Plz help..Want to Use Internet/Whatsapp on BlackBerry 9650 OS 6 without BIS Plan?

Guyz i am using 9650 (verizon unlocked) with Vodafone India connection, i have read many posts where internet can be surfed without BIS. I have changed the TCP settings to : www but still internet\whatsapp not working in my phone . Can anybody help ?
I have also read that its not working properly in OS 6 , but working perfectly in OS 5 , is it coorect ? then do i need to downgrade my OS ? Is it easy to downgrade ?
dinesh after putting prepaid sim & changing tcp it will work & after that again if i insert my usual post paid it will contiue to work ?

Hi amit,
Sure u will be able to use what'sapp w/o BIS plan.
Am also doing the same thing with OS 6 in 9300.
U have not mentioned that u r using a postpaid you will face dificulties intially.
See in prepaid it works smoothly without any problem.
Solution is insert a other vodafone sim card which has a data plan than use it for few minutes after that insert your Sim card. 99% Problem will be resolved.
But still if u face problem u have to visit nearest Vodafone store.
