Plymouth Grand Voyager Motor Question, please help, i need advice?

I have a 3.3L (liter) V6 Plymouth Grand Voyager
It currently has 138,156 Miles on it
Year is 1997

One day, I went to go start the van. I did not notice the accelerator was stuck. I started it, and the motor reved up a lot. I immediately shut the van off. Then it started to leak engine coolant. The problem was that the package was broken, along with some cylinder heads where burned. I need to know if it is better to buy a new van or fix it. In order to fix this problem, half the engine block must be taken out. This is very expensive. Please help, the motor on this van is still good.

What "package" was leaking, ......."some cylinder heads were burned",.........who told you this buch of crap??? Certainly not a REPUTABLE mechanic!
