I have a 2004 mazda 3 with 30 000 miles. When I turn on the car it is difficult for me to change from 1st to second (it wont go in) and when I change from 2nd to 3rd (while in neutral) I feel grinding and if I leave it there for a sec or two I can eventually hear grinding even in neutral. I went to the dealer and all they did was change the oil. They told me they inspected the inside but nothing was mechanically wrong. It has gotten worse since the cold winter started.
