this boat wants to cross a river? on a still lake, the speed of a motorboat is 24m/s. however, the operator of this boat wants to cross a river that is 88m wide and flowing at 15m/s. since he wants to reach the point directly across the river, he attempts to compensate for the flow of the river by pointing the boat in a direction of 35 degrees upstream from the direction that is straight across the river. when the boat reaches the other side of the river, how far is it from the desired destinatioin, and is it upstream or downstream from the destination?
