I am trying to reload an OS onto a very old Powerspec but the power spec only has a CDROM and my OS disc is DVD. So I put a new DVD ROM with a SATA adapter for power but the BIOS does not seem to recognize the new DVD drive, I can't get it to boot from the new DVD ROM. I took the old IDE cable out because the new drive only has SATA. Is there any way to get the BIOS to boot from the DVD ROM? I can provide more detail if needed. Its an old PhoenixAward BIOS if that helps. Harddrive is wipped no OS at all.
