Do you owe some back taxes? Well, I got some news that will make you feel better. No matter how bad off you think you are, there’s no way you owe as much as Nas. The hip hop star owes the IRS $6 million and will now have his wages garnished until that debt is paid off.
To make sure Uncle Sam gets paid, the IRS will take a portion of the money Nas receives from ASCAP and BMI. We know the IRS don’t mess around and now Nas is finding that out the hard way.
And there’s some good news for the IRS: Nas is set to release another album soon. “Life is Good” will be Nas’ last record for Def Jam Records. While the exact date of the release isn’t known, there are already two singles — “Nasty” and “The Don”.
Considering that all of Nas’ albums have gone platinum, the IRS should eventually get all the money they are owed without any problems.
