My samsung j700 bluetooth won't work?

I'v had my phone for 2 years now and a problem has only came now. When I go on bluetooth and click activate is says bluetooth activating and stays there for ages and freezes. When I switch it on and take the battery out it doesn't do anything and now my friends can't send me the latest songs thanks to my bluetooth. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? How do you solve it?
