I know the galant is the saloon verson of the eclypse, but is the engine types the same? Because i want a turbo for my 2003 galant es that has a 2.4 liter 4 cylinder. What equivilant eclypse turbo would i need?
You Galant comes with the 4G64 Engine, which is the non-high performance engine, in the 2000-2005 Eclipse generation it is the cheap 150 HPs engine, as opposed to the 6G72 210 HPs, 4G64 was not turbocharged then, instead it was the 4G63 Turbo 210 HPs BUT from previous generation Eclipses (and different chassis), so you will spend a good amount $$$ to fit it in yours. Since the Galant 2003 was offered with the 205 HPs 6G72 it makes NO sense at all your tuning.
However, if you still want to do it, you can use a car performance simulator[1] to virtually swap any engine or do any mod on your car and run comparison tests to find out how much faster you can make it.
