Ok so here's the deal.
Saturday night, on January 3rd at about 11 pm, I was playing Halo on Xbox live and the display and colors got all fuzzy and screwed up. I quit the game and turned my Xbox off.
I turned it back on and the lower-right quadrant light was red.
The screen said system error E 74 and requested i contact customer support.
I went to the support page online and requested a repair.
It was at this time that i found out my standard warranty had expired at 3:39pm that very same day, and i would have to pay $94 for a repair.
I don't know if its just me, but i find it a little odd that my Xbox suddenly breaks less than 8 hours after my one-year warranty ends.
Im no Microsoft-basher, but that certainly would be a good way for them to earn an extra buck, freezing systems and forcing customers to pay to "repair it."
Anyone else agree?
