Long Road trip 3000 miles?

In a few weeks i'm going to drive to New York from california. Any suggestions on making this trip? I have a 1997 Nissan Altima, manual transmission. I have brand new tires, spark plugs, brakes, rotors, battery, clutch kit. The engine currently has 180000 miles, but runs great. Passes smog check. Great emissions. Nothing sounds weird. Before I leave i'm going to top off fluids and get an oil change, put in a new air filter. Any other suggestions that I could do to make the trip?

Take a cell phone & auto charger.
GPS-Navigation system would really be nice.
Check your spare tire and jack.
Have your anti-freeze checked - you'll be driving through some cold country.
Take along something to help you stay awake.
Chains/Straps/Snow-tires for bad roads?
Music and books on CD to help kill the time.
Over the counter meds you might need.
Current car registration and proof of insurance.
Trip insurance?
Good wiper blades.
