Its Your Birthday: British Veterans Honoured On Queens Birthday List

The Queen is a positively delightful old diddy. So delightful that every year, to mark her birthday, famous and/or noteworthy Brits and Commonwealth citizens are given a public "good show, lads" in the form of the Queen's Birthday Honours List.
This year, two British veterans were honoured. Former ELSPA director general Roger Bennett was awarded an MBE, while EA's executive VP of international studios David Gardner was awarded an OBE. Congratulations and a "good show, lads" are in order!
Sadly, they're just token gestures. Membership in the Order of the British Empire (in which Gardner is now an officer) ain't what it used to be, so sorry Dave, there'll be no hacking up Frenchmen or riding around on elephants for you. Luke Plunkett
