For the second time this season, the San Antonio Spurs had an 11-game winning streak. And for the second time, the streak ends with the team’s three best players sitting on the sideline. This time, it was the Utah Jazz who ended the streak. Playing in front of their home fans, the Jazz won by a final score of 91-84.

The Spurs are in the middle of an 8-game, 11-day stretch. Head coach Gregg Popovich, with one eye on the playoffs, sat out Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker. Even though they were shorthanded, the Spurs actually led by eight points in the fourth quarter. However, led by Devin Harris, the Jazz sprinted back into the game and won it going away.

The win was important for Utah as they battle to make it into the playoffs. As it stands, the Jazz are in tenth place in the West — 1.5 games behind the Dallas Mavericks and Denver Nuggets, who are tied for 7th.

The Spurs, on the other hand, are now in second place in the West. At 40-15, the Spurs only trail the Oklahoma City Thunder (42-15).
