Is there anyway I can do this without my parents knowing?

I am a fourteen year old writer who wants to experiment with self publishing on amazon, perhaps gaining a small profit. I would, however, like it to remain private from my family, as I am very private about my writing. What steps should I take (eg. writing under a pseydonym) to maintain my privacy?
