Is the Eragon series worth the read?

Ok, so when i was a junior in high school (3 years ago...dang) I started to read Eragon, but stopped. The movie came out...saw it...thought it sucked. So now...here I am on Thanksgiving vacation...off from school...tired of movies...and on Yahoo answers ...I went to my bookshelf to see what I had and I saw the three books of th Eragon series. I took them out, now I am debating if I should read them or not.

So are they worth the read?

When you start this book you aren't gonna be able to put it down.Believe me I've got all three books and am waiting for the fourth to come out.You should definitely go ahead.

Yes! They're great. The movie did suck though. But the books are amazing.
