iphone and ipad confusions. HELP ME!!!?

okay so my mom said she would get me an iphone but only if I gave up my beloved ipad. I never used my ipad A TON so I considered it. It's the same thing, only smaller plus with calls and texting. plus I would get the iphone 4s with all the new features. should I just keep my old junky phone and the iphone or the iphone. BTW: I would have to get a new phone anyways because we are switching services and my phone is broken. If I chose the phone and the ipad, I would probably get like a simple flip phone.

Wow thats hard but your ipad im guessing isnt the Ipad 2?? anyway the new iphone 4S is Very very good (S for speed) and dont forget you could sell your ipad and you would get about $150 for it but you would probly have to give half to your mom sooooooooooooo the ipad is big clocnky and hard to carry.....the iphone is small easy to carry and you can call and text.......i would go with the iphone 4S
