Iphone 3G S 4.1 OS UNLOCK HELP!?

I just bought a used iphone 3gs running 4.1 hoping i could unlock it. Things aren't going so good.

I tried downgrading it, and in order to do that i had to save SHSH blobs? what ever that is.
But i followed the instructions and it told me that i was to late?
And that i couldnt downgrade.

Now im completely lost. Please help.
And F.Y.I ,Its on the new bootrom (MC model).
