Internet Explorer 8............... i need help?

Just downloaded IE8 and when i click on the drop down menu at the address bar i not only get my previous visited web addresses but i'm also getting a list of favourites and history below it.
Is there anyway i can change this.............. can i remove the favourites and history and just get it back to the way it was in IE7 ?????
