I have Maxell CD and DVD-R blanks I've been using to burn video and audio onto. Are there ways is can increaser their longevity before the memory is lost in 2-5 years? If not, are there some canadian stores where I can buy archival blanks? Thanks.

Just keep them in Plastic CD Cases. Or just keep them in the spool that it came with if it did come with one. Also keep the cover on. You could try keeping them in a clean environment too that may help. I've had blanks that were over 5 years old and they work fine. Just kept them stored in one spot for a long time. If you have disks that you wrote data too and wanna know how long they will last, I can tell you the information will stay on for well over 5 years. I work at a computer store with my father and we've had copied disks from 2000 that still work fine even some weren't stored that well and still reads fine.
