If you could invent a gadget what would it be ?

Nothing.

My inventions would things that make gadgets work together, plugs and things, such as CEC that works.

Or more consumer/environmentally friendly business models for technologies, such as a board modular TV set and Blu-Ray player, standard replaceable Li-Ion batteries, Inkjet printers that can be refilled.
