...buying a car for the man? Buying a car has always been seen as a masculine thing to do.

The women bought the car as a gift for the man, which means that the women in the ad has surplus income.

Companies will only make commercials for what the statistics say what types of people will buy their products.
Look, companies would not be trying to get women to buy their products to if they didn't buy the products in the first place.

Men are becoming the new women and women are becoming the new men.

Obviously they want the potential female buyers to feel a sense of financial empowerment...it would be interesting to find out though if even one brand new lexus was bought for a man by a woman in real life.

haha no matter how much women complain about it , it doesnt stop them from buying thst new make up, or trying to look like 'that model' on the latest perfume advert , they eat that sh*t up and then complain about it

ironic isnt it

I think, in this case the car companies are trying to get more women into buying certain cars. They want more women to buy their boyfriends/husbands a new car. It's a marketing technique that is all too well common. Usually they use traditional gender roles to get that certain gender to buy a product, but as the markets expands, they use different approaches to get more people to buy products. For instance, since women don't game as much as men, they might use different commercials to get women to game more.

um...thats one commercial vs thousands of offensive advertisements (offensive towards women). You probably don't even realize how they objectify and portray women because you see them everyday and it's clear that you are oblivious because your question.
