I was seeing a doctor in houston, I now moved to dallas. In houston we have PAIN and ANXIETY doctors, but I cant seem to look in the phone book or online and find one, just pain doctors. What kind of doctor do I need to have my medical history sent to so I dont have to drive to houston to get my medications filled, also can my old doctor call in these prescriptions, they seem to always want me to pay for the monthly visit.

mine he is an internal sports and medicine pain management specialist and he is the best doctor i have yet to see he is a general practice doctor but his emphasis is on pain management and internal sports n medicine so im not sure if this will help you or not i hope it does but as long as you have your files with you you can take it to any doctor you should be fine they will help you out

You can go to any MD to get help. So just pick a general practitioner and they will ask you for your records. You can have the new doctor request the information from your previous doctor. It's no big deal really
