I need something argumentative that takes an interesting stance on something about the Civil War for a 20-25 page paper

Could you possibly talk about what America would be like if the Confederacy won the war?

Which civil war? There's been lots.

What the impact of the divided loyalties had on families. Some families had brothers fighting brothers and some even fathers fighting sons. This is an all too often overlooked issue of the Civil War, yet it happened much more often than it is talked about. This would be a great subject for a thesis.
