I have upgraded the software on my Blackberry Bold 9700 from 5.0 to 6.0 however

I have little room for apps? I have upgraded the software on my Bold 9700 from 5.0 to 6.0 however I now have little room for apps and everyday my Blackberry has to be restarted to free up space. I have removed all unnecessary apps etc but still have the issue. Is 6.0 just much bigger than 5.0 or is there a way to free up system memory. I have an 8Gb media card but this is only 20% used.
Any help please?
