So...I'm trying to burn a file onto a DVD disc so that I can give it to a friend. I have an Acer laptop and I first inserted a blank DVD-R Staples disc and when I clicked burn, it says "Please insert a write-able disc into the drive" and then another message says "This is not the right disc" ..or something like that. So I went and bought a Philips DVD+R blank DVD disc and..what do you know, same issue. I'm about to download Nero to try and help..but other than that what can help! Any advice or outlook on the situation would be appreciated, thank you!!
