I am an MBA student using a symbian phone - Nokia X6..Do i really need a smartphone?

I currently use Nokia X6..Will buying a smartphone really help me. My current phone offers me internet facility & whatsapp. Will a smartphone give any special features that you think are actually necessary and which may help me in college?

the x6 is a smartphone, running on symbian
os.. There are newer symbians, and other
operating systems like ios, android,
blackberry and windows, each serving their
own purposes, all have their pros and cons. U
are the one who needs to use the phone, so go with what meets ur needs, not the needs
of others.
The other app stores offer more apps, but for
a normal person who has a life, symbian is
fine..
