How safe is limewire?

i jus got a netbook and i already have an ipod but i dont want to use itunes and pay for music. i have used limewire before and had no trouble but i just dont want to take any chances. since my computer is new i think that everything is up to date as far as virus protection. Should i download limewire and if so please tell me some tips on avoiding viruses.

it has virus protection, you'll be fine.

Anyone can put things on to limewire so virus's are easily distributed, so i would recommend that if you don't want virus's don't use it. Get songs off your friends or just buy them.

limewire has virus protection...and so far...i've used it like 40 times....and no problems. but make sure you get the newest version.
