How much and who should I hire to add a island mounted vent hood above an island gas cooktop?
I have a down-draft gas cooktop( cooktop and downdraft as one appliance) and it is difficult to keep clean and get rid of the smell. I am interested in replacing the gas cooktop and adding an island vent hood above it that would vent outside through a wall. The cost of the new appliances that I am interested at is about $2000, but the cost of hiring someone for the installation of them I just don't know, and is what I am concerned about too. Can someone who've done similar project tell me how much it costed them and who should I best hire to do the job.
