How is the book the adventures of huck finn offensive to black and white people?

Jim is portrayed as overly-superstitious and his speech is kind of grunting and dumb. Plus, he needs the support of a white teenage boy to get to freedom.

As for white people? Well, it's obviously against slavery, and it's especially against those Christians who preached love and practiced hate. The book appeals to those whites who just watched slavery happen and thought it wasn't really their place to say or do anything about it.

I personally, don't really think this book is all that offensive to either group...but if I had to argue it, that's what I'd say I guess.

It's not, to either. People who get offended by it weren't paying close enough attention when they read it, and also have no sense of context.

On top of that, IT'S A BOOK. Twain didn't write it to make anyone mad. It's art.
