How do you get your downloaded songs into the mp3 part of an lg shine (KE970) phone?

I have some songs that i downloaded onto my phone. I put it into a folder the external memory. The button on the side of the phone which is a shortcut to the mp3 only has the songs that it came with in it (Which is short ring tones). How do i get my downloaded music into a file that will come up in the mp3 part?

i recommend just emailing the mp3 files to your phone. first, send a random text to your email adress, then reply with the mp3 files. with your email you cant just type your number you have to write like mms and something else i dont remember.
