how do i get my logitech wireless receiver to be recognized as a bluetooth device?

ok so, i have been trying to get my logitech bluetooth wireless receiver to be recognized as a bluetooth device on my computer, but it does not seem to work, has anyone been able to accomplish this? ( I've tried widcomm and it does not recognize it either
